Our 2025 Highlights

Boonie Tails

The year of the Boonies
Every year, it’s incredible to see all of the new things that we accomplish with this community. Boonie Babies started in 2020 with just two girls and a bag of dog food and evolved into an official non-profit with a global following, and we are more impactful than ever! To everyone who has been a part of this crazy, sometimes sad, hilarious, and always wild journey with us, thank you for helping us save the Boonies! As we look forward to 2026, here are some of our favorite highlights from 2025. We’ll see you next year!
2025 Highlights
Not only was an official Boonie Baby featured by The Dogist, but Aria and I also got to do a Zoom interview with Elias himself. If you’re a dog person, you know this is like meeting the Taylor Swift of the dog world. We could not believe it when his assistant emailed us back to set up a call. This is by far my favorite Boonie Babies moment of the year. It was so incredible to have the opportunity to work with someone so respected and well-known in the dog community. And by the way! In his book This Dog Will Change Your Life, Elias even mentions Boonie dogs! We could not recommend adding it to your reading list more. Click HERE to order your copy today. This is not a paid ad just a genuine recommendation.

Twenty one dogs on island were adopted and thanks to all of you, we were able to cover the cost of spay/neuter as well as other medical care they received such as de-wormer and vaccines. That’s 21 dogs who now get to live happy healthy lives as well as no longer contribute to the stray population!

This year, we were able to fly 8 dogs to their forever homes across the U.S. and Canada.

Assisted Saipan Humane Society with multiple spay and neuter clinics throughout the year. Thanks to donations, we were able to cover the cost of surgery for dozens of community members and their pets. Working at the clinic and helping make a dent in the stray population is one of our favorite activities!

Overall, 2025 was an amazing year for Boonie Babies but we can’t wait to see what else we will accomplish in 2026 together. It truly takes a village and we are so lucky to have such a large one supporting us on- and off-island. Wherever you are reading this, happy new year, cheers to saving more Boonies!

Boonie of the Week
![]() | Meet Missy and Tippy! One night 14 years ago, three black, speckled puppies were dumped on the side of the road. When Carol was called over to see the small balls of fluff who had been rescued and were now playing in the neighbors’ yard, she immediately knew one was meant for her. After careful consideration, she picked one out, held her in her arms, and then reached down to grab another. The rest is history. |
For the past 14 years Missy and Tippy have been loyal and loving companions to Carol. She said that when she first brought them home she thought to herself, “what in the world did I do?” but the two rambunctious pups already had her heart. Carol shared, “they have been such good girls. They love milk bones and always get half of my fries which is the only people food they get”. When asked, “what do Missy and Tippy mean to you?”, Carol responded, “the world”.
