Bring it on Boonies

Our New Year's Goals

Bigger and Better

As we welcome in the new year with open arms, we are excited to make Boonie Babies bigger and better than ever. As a still very young organization, every passing year brings such new growth, opportunities, change, and more. Here are our goals for 2026!

  • Making Boonie Babies more financially stable

As of now, Boonie Babies is solely supported via your donations. Although this has kept us a float, it greatly limits our impact. Additionally, Aria and I don’t get paid. Dedicating so much of our time and personal money to Boonie Babies is our own choice and one we continue to happily make. However, it is not sustainable. As we continue to grow Boonie Babies and as individuals, establishing a steady flow of revenue is crucial. There are so many opportunities for us to achieve this through social media (brand deals, partnerships, user generated content, the TikTok Creator Fund, etc.) as well as grant money available. Up until now, this has not be a priority for us. Finding the time to write a grant application between rescuing dogs and working a “real” job has been a challenge but in 2026, its one we are ready to tackle!

Do you have any ideas, connections, or assistance that may be helpful with any of the above? Email us at [email protected] ! Thank you Henry’s Mom for inspiring us to get started on some grants.

  • Continue to create authentic connection

To us, our following or subscriber amount isn’t just a number, it’s a collection of individual people, all of whom have worked with us to build this community. Having an online platform comes with its challenges but the overall experience we have had sharing our story online has been incredibly impactful and positive. For whatever their own reasoning is, over 500 thousand people have decided to follow us. Using our platform to raise awareness about not only our specific situation but the national state of rescue is a privilege and responsibility that we do not take lightly. Not only is creating an authentic connection with all of you crucial when it comes to saving the Boonies, but it creates a very real community. A community that speaks on important issues, supports animals and humans alike, and up lifts one another through the difficult parts of rescue. As 2026 begins, we look forward to interacting with our community more, on and offline.

  • Spay and Neuter

Living on an island with no resident vet definitely puts us in a tough spot with this one, but as always, our top priority is supporting efforts that impact the stray animal population. As Saipan Humane Society continues to work to provide as consistent access as possible to this life-saving and changing procedure, we will continue to do our part in supporting these efforts. For us, that means volunteering on clinic days, helping fundraise to cover the cost of surgery for community members, and assisting with TNR efforts. To keep up with more of this, follow another crazy Boonie loving lady, Saipan Humane co-founder Lauren Cabrera HERE

  • Adoptions

Unfortunately for us, we don’t see a lot of happy endings. Although a lot of these factors are out of our control and there is only so much we can do, we would love to see more adoptions than ever on and off-island in 2026. Flying a dog off-island is expensive, but not any more expensive than what people already pay to purchase a dog. Are you or anyone you know interested in adding a Boonie to your family this year? Email us at [email protected] to learn more!

When adopting from us, like an ethical breeder, we do our best to pair you with a dog that will meet your lifestyle needs. Of course we take your personal preferences into consideration but we will not send you a dog that will not succeed in your home. All Boonie Babies rescues go through extensive temperament tests and live with us for long periods of time. This means we know everything about the dog! Their tolerance for children, activity level, if they like to cuddle, etc. They even come crate and leash trained! DM or email us today and we can find the perfect Boonie for you! Trust us, there are a LOT to choose from.

  • Save the Boonies

We have so many goals for 2026 but the gist of it is simple; save the Boonies!

Taking the Scenic Route

Moving to a tropical island as teens and starting a nonprofit animal rescue has not be a traditional path to success but we can’t imagine our lives going any other way. Smart Investors Don’t Guess. They Read The Daily Upside.

Markets are moving faster than ever — but so is the noise. Between clickbait headlines, empty hot takes, and AI-fueled hype cycles, it’s harder than ever to separate what matters from what doesn’t.

That’s where The Daily Upside comes in. Written by former bankers and veteran journalists, it brings sharp, actionable insights on markets, business, and the economy — the stories that actually move money and shape decisions.

That’s why over 1 million readers, including CFOs, portfolio managers, and executives from Wall Street to Main Street, rely on The Daily Upside to cut through the noise.

No fluff. No filler. Just clarity that helps you stay ahead.

Boonie of the Week

It brings me great sadness to share that we do not have a ‘Boonie of The Week’ because I have no new stories to share. Do you have a rescued animal (it does not have to be a Boonie)? Email or DM us their story along with a few pictures so that they can be featured in this newsletter! Hearing and sharing your rescue stories has been my favorite part of writing Boonie Tails, please do not be shy and submit your pet today! Thanks for reading and we will see you next week!

Boonie Tails is free to read. But if you liked this post, support Boonie Babies and this newsletter by pledging a monthly or annual donation. Thank you for reading and we’ll see you next week!
