Be Brave Like Tiki and Plu

Isabel Klee routinely fosters dogs and shares their story with her online following, so Tiki was no exception. As foster number 23, Isabel began sharing Tiki’s story like she had with dogs before, but this time it was different. This odd looking, extremely shy, and somewhat ordinary little pup took the internet by storm and a star was born. Tiki went viral after his first few posts. This dog, who would have been completely overlooked at the shelter and didn’t stand a chance of making it out alive, now had millions of Americans working to find him a home.

Tiki quickly found his family and inspired others to save lives by fostering their own “Tikis”. Every dog deserves this opportunity, yet so few will get it. Whether you can take a dog out for an afternoon, short term foster for a week, or support a pet long term until they are adopted, your time will save lives. Tiki changed so many human and dog lives alike by inspiring others to be brave and take chances. Be brave like Tiki, take a chance, and reach out to a shelter near you to see how you can get involved in their foster program. The Tiki’s of Saipan
Although fosters and adopters are desperately needed everywhere, Saipan is probably one of the toughest places to find them. With a stray dog population of over 30,000, most people who want a dog already have one (or twenty in our case). Below are some of the faces of current Boonie Babies dogs looking for their forever homes. Thanks to our July Birthday Fundraiser, we were able to cover the cost of all of their spay and neuter surgeries, ensuring that they can live happy, healthy lives while not contributing to the stray population. None of this would be possible without the support of all of you reading. Thank you!

They are inseparable. She loves giving kisses and is 100% go mode when it’s time for a hike. Oh, and don’t even try to get her away from a body of water or get her to come in from the winter snow. She’s such a sweet, young lady. She loves to lounge in the sun or right next to you when we’re not on an adventure.
